FAVOURITE BOOK OF THE YEAR. This was fantastic. I urge you to get a copy of this when it is released in August 2021.
I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the third book in the Sacramento series, and I am so happy that I was given a chance to read this one before pub day.
Karen Rose is an absolute favourite of mine and I have all her books and have re-read them many times. Each year it’s torture waiting for the next instalment – I need to know what is going on with my favourite fictional family!
This year (2020) has been pretty pants, let’s be honest. We’ve all been challenged in more ways than we could’ve imagined going into this year. But hopefully, with 2021 in sight, we can start to breath easier knowing that we’ve got Christmas just around the corner, then New Years Eve, when we can press reset and hopefully (fingers crossed) have a fabulous new year.
It may be a time for us to think about new traditions and resolutions, and one that Kate and I have been doing for the last few years is the Icelandic Christmas eve tradition of JOLABOKAFLOD. (Loosely translated as YULE BOOK FLOOD.)
Ok, how to convey that I loved this book! Like proper loved this book I reckon I could write a dissertation on this book pulling out all the different bits that I spotted and loved about this book!
I was sending a friend of mine gushing texts about this book and telling her that she NEEDs to read it, oh and I also stayed up till 2am reading this book! I couldn’t put it down; I finished it less than 48 hours after getting it.
Nothing to Fear is the 4th instalment in the romantic suspense series from Karen Rose, and it is also the 3rd in the Chicago series.
We have got the usual mix of murder, sex, violence and passion. Karen Rose is just the best at writing grisly murder with blood and horror, then on the next page giving you steamy hot sex. There’s never a dull moment in any of her books, with something going on with every page turn. We have all the regular characters that appear throughout the series, which makes it so easy to read.
“The book was falling… I was reaching for it, and …. your lips were in the way” – I loved this line, it made me laugh so much.
Ah the joy of buying random books from Amazon for my Kindle. I saw this book initially on Goodreads and thought ah well, give it a go. I downloaded the sample chapter and had to download the rest of the book immediately. Now when I say I had to download immediately it was more to do with me being intrigued as to what was actually going on.
